Crawfords's Directory of City Connections  

The "essential guide to the major players in the City," Crawford's is an established database concentrating on the relationships between Major UK Companies and their Professional Advisers.

Who's Who in the City

Biographies of 16,000 key decision makers in the City. Includes a detailed summary of their education, career history and more.

The City of London (business section)

Everything you wanted to know about the City and probably stuff that you didn't want to know! Provides an indispensible overview of the City and numerous links to other useful websites. 

City Business Library 

The Library holds a major collection of sources of business information including market research, UK and international directories available in both print and electronic format.

City AM 

Free newspaper which has regular pull outs about specific aspects of the City and a weekly feature on 'A day in the life of a leading fund manager' as well as news, feaures and gossip about the companies and individuals working in the City. Also indispensible for City research.

FTfm 

The fm stands for fund management. This is the Financial Times's weekly review of the investment industry. Somewhat technical in parts, but contains articles that may be of interest.

Tatler

More misses than hits as a research resource, but they recently had an article about hedge fund managers and have other useful articles and gossip about City people from time to time (amongst the general fashion dross).

The City Women's Club 

The City Women's Club is a selective networking club of senior women in the City. 

The City Circle

The City Circle aims are to promote the development of a distinct British Muslim identity; to assist the process of community cohesion and integration by building bilateral strategic alliances between Muslim and non-Muslim communities; and to harness and channel the skills and resources of Muslim professionals into practical projects thereby facilitating and empowering young Muslim women and men to ‘put back in’ to the wider British community.

The City Hindus Network 

The City Hindus Network was founded in 2005 by Dhruv Patel, an executive on the money markets desk at Barclays Capital and officially launched in June 2006. Its purpose is to give City Hindus an opportunity to network. It is also intended to be charitable in nature.

London Investment Banking Association 

Their website includes a list of member companies and their addresses and websites.

Hedgeweek 

Provides interviews with fund managers and daily news related to hedge funds. 

Livery Companies

The City of London's website provides an alphabetical list of City Livery Companies, with links to web pages where available.

Medieval Genealogy 

Also provides a list of City Livery Companies, but in order of precedence, with links to web pages where available. 

City Championships 

Runs sporting championships for the exclusive benefit of London's financial community. Senior members of the major institutions in the City and Canary Wharf, together with the independent finance firms situated in Mayfair/St James's, enjoy the challenge of competing against each other in sport. 

RollOnFriday 

News, views and gossip on City law firms (including what they pay). The latest legal news and salary information. Entertaining and informative.
